The Finale - Valencia!

The standings after race 4 put Nicole Tickle clearly in the lead by 3 points.  Following closely were the tied drivers Chumbawamba and The Stig.  In 4th and 5th places, respectively, were Quickie and Rhodes Rashburne - it would be impossible for either of them to place 1st this season, but Quickie at least had a slim chance to place 2nd.

Race 5 starts with VERY clogged first and second corners.  All of the racers are jammed together.

Rhodes Rashburne seems to have chosen the right gear though, and rockets ahead of the pack.

It wasn't going to be an easy race for Rhodes though.  After some deft maneuvering through the next Chicane, The Stig would manage to gain ground, and ultimately overtake Rhodes on the straightaway.

This wasn't the only fancy maneuvering, however.  Nicole Tickle had been making the moves on the competition and slowly advanced from last place to fourth, overcoming the floundering Chumbawamba!  Meanwhile, Rhodes has taken the lead away from The Stig.

In an incredible back and forth battle, the Stig once again retakes the lead from Rhodes.  Meanwhile, Nicole Tickle edges out Quickie for 3rd place.

By the last turn, however, it is clear that Rhodes' recklessness has taken hold.  He blazes ahead and takes the lead blowing through the finish line in top gear.  In so doing, jeopardizing himself and his car as he desperately attempts to decelerate, spinning out just beyond the first corner.

But the season champion was not to be determined by "Do or Die" Rhodes Rashburne.  It was an exciting finish to see whether  The Stig could tie or overtake Nicole Tickle for that 1st place in the season standings.  Just beyond the last corner, the two were neck and neck.

Nicole had the inside edge though, and beat out The Stig by 0.02 of a second while crossing the finish line.  The season championship was secure.  Nicole Tickle will win the championship!


Quickie zoomed in for an easy 4th place, and Chumbawamba, though last, decided to give the fans a show and crossed the finish line in a "Hail Mary" 6th gear acceleration-fest!

After an exciting season, the 1st place winner is confirmed as Nicole Tickle!  2nd place is the Stig!  3rd place is Chumbawamba.  Following closely are Rhodes Rashburne and Quickie.  Good racing this season!

A note to our fans out there:  There are talks of some big promoters putting together an off season multi-lap endurance La Mans style promotional race before the next season.  Stay tuned!
